Book 2: Fairies, Witches, Devilry and Sorcery
Witches and fairies , goblins and the Devil himself : Who doesn't love the legends of fantastic creatures that once roamed the Swiss countryside? Passed down from generation to generation, they are now part of Swiss identity. Following the success of the first volume, volume 2 of Swiss myths and legends is now available. It's time to rediscover the legend of the Devil's Bridge in Uri, the tale of the lonely fairy of Evolène in Valais, and other legends! Legends of fantastic creatures are passed down through voice and gesture, allowing us to share time-honored cultural heritage. Myths have shaped our national identity and continue to fascinate young and old alike.
The writer and illustrator Denis Kormann presents us with an ode to nature —the nature of our Swiss landscapes, which must be preserved. His pen strokes caress mountains and valleys, peaks and crests of waves; one reads this book and is immersed in Kormann's large, fairytale-like illustrations .
The adventures in volume 2 take us from Valais , Fribourg via Uri and Graubünden to Ticino :
1 - THE DEVIL'S BRIDGE (Uri)
2 - THE FAIRY OF EVOLÈNE (Valais)
3 - THE REVENGE OF BOUNET RODZO (Freiburg)
4 - SONTGA MARGRIATA (Graubünden)
5 - FORTUNINO, THE FISHERMAN'S SON (Ticino)
7 - THE SIX WONDER BOX (Graubünden)
