In the age of AI and electrification, this is the new hero of the POLSPOTTEN collection. Hand-carved from solid wood by artisans in Senegal. Each piece is unique. Marked with chisel marks and annual rings, each with its own distinct character. Visual artist Hans van Bentem has been working with these craftsmen and their traditional techniques since 2000. Inspired by local culture and the natural strength of wood, he translates monumental design language into something tangible and cherished. Once you embrace the Robot Stool, it won't let you go.
